Comparing Health insurance Rates - Saving With High Deductible Plans

It is very possible for you to make nice savings with high deductible health insurance plans if you are someone who rarely needs health care. If you are sure that your health needs are very minimal, then read on to make nice savings while still having very comprehensive coverage.
Unlike making savings with HMOs (Health Maintenance Organizations) for people who need constant health care, you can go for the usual traditional and more expensive health plan but then make huge savings by using high deductibles to reduce your rates.

The simplest way to go about this is to get a health savings account. This savings account works with a minimum deductible. This means that your deductible needs to be at least up to a stipulated amount before you can qualify for this account.

How does this account work? This unlike your regular savings account is an account where you can save money and earn interest tax free. The money saved in this account is saved towards the payment of your deductible whenever you need it and since your health is such that you hardly require medical care and would not require to pay your deductibles often, it becomes and ideal solution since the high deductible reduce your monthly rates very significantly.

It is important however to note that the money saved under a health savings account can only be used for health related issue. If you do not use it in a year, it would be moved to the next year and is still yours to use for health related issues like paying your deductibles, paying for visit to the dentist, therapist etc.

The Need For Adequate Health Insurance.

I was watching CNN the other day and there was this report of the result of a study which shows that a person dies every 12 seconds as a result of lack of insurance. I don't know about you. To me, this is shocking.

It is very obvious that this is not the very best time to joke with our health insurance policies. With the high cost of health care, you can not dare to leave your health to chance.

These people who have died and who at every count of 12 seconds die are not suicidal. They are everyday people who would have loved to live to a full ripe age. They suddenly needed health care they couldn't afford and because they had no health insurance coverage, they couldn't get the necessary treatment they needed and their lives had to be cut short by circumstances that could have been avoided had they taken up an adequate health insurance plan.

Someone reading this might be wondering if the writer understands that some people can not afford to have a health insurance policy. This might be true. But one thing I know is true also is that some who can afford it either don't know they can afford it or did not care enough to be covered. Besides, if you want to know how to find a health insurance policy you can afford, you would search for it and believe me, if you search, compare health insurance rates, talk with agents, you would eventually have enough options from which to choose one within your reach.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,..........9, 10, 11, 12 one person has died because of lack of health insurance cover. It is really sad. One thing I want to advise is that people should just stop waiting for the Government to change things. Start doing somethings for yourself. Make a move to protect your family, your loved ones and yourself. There are numerous health packages from which you can make a choice. Do not let your excuse be that you can't afford it. Have you really searched for an affordable health insurance plan?

Go to quotes comparison sites and compare health insurance rates. In fact, go to as many as you can and get and compare as many quotes as you can. You would likely find a policy that would work for your budget. You can also talk to insurance agents to find out what other options you may have.
